The Lightning Effects Control (LEC) is a special effects lighting controller for creating realistic simulations of lightning strikes using LED lights. Operating at a DC voltage range of 5 to 12 volts, these controls are compatible with Constant Voltage (CV) LED lights. Multiple controls and lights can be used simultaneously to create vibrant, dramatic visual lightning storm effects. The LEC features six adjustable flash patterns and retains its settings even when powered off, ensuring convenience and ease of use. The control also has a loop mode to sequence the six modes. The controls have three adjustable rates for the lightning flash burst patterns. Ideal for themed entertainment applications, the LEC effectively replicates the electrical discharge characteristic of a thunderstorm lightning strike, adding a dynamic and atmospheric element to theatrical productions, themed environments, and special effects displays. This is a three-pack of the LEC (Lightning Effects Controls). These controls use a standard DC barrel connector measuring 5.5mm x 2.1mm with center-positive (+V) polarity. The LEC (Lightning Effects Control) is used for LED lighting special effects simulation lightning flash, burst, and strobe appearance. The control provides six modes of patterns. Each mode has 3 speed steps.

Power: The Lightning Effects Control has a maximum LED lighting load of 18 watts. For the 5-12 volts DC voltage range, the control has a maximum current rating of 1.5 amp. When the battery is operated, disconnect the battery before storage to prevent draining, as the control has an idle current of 5-10ma Typ.. The control retains the last setting when the on/off function is used or when power is disconnected and reconnected. When an external power supply is used it must be 5 to 12 volts DC. The power connector needs to be compatible with the 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC barrel connector with a positive +V center connection.
