The FFC (Flickering Flame Control) functions are as follows:
The Mode button provides six dynamic effects, and the Static dimming mode
The Light button is used to set the control to static dimming mode while in any dynamic mode, pressing the mode; button starts the dynamic mode again.
The Speed (On/Off) button provides ten speed levels for dynamic modes. In the static dimming mode this button provides dimming in 10 steps, 10% - 95% Ref. This button is also used to turn the unit off when it is held longer than 3 seconds Ref. (In the fastest flickering speed the frequency across the various modes ranges from 1 Hz to under 6 Hz, the average flickering frequency at the fastest speed is 3.3 Hz.)
Notes:
The control retains the last settings when turned off. Idle current when off is typically 10ma or less at 12 volts input, disconnect batteries when not in use to preserve battery life.
If used for video, film, or photography projects, check for image banding lines as the switching rate may or may not be compatible. Banding lines can result from the FPS (Frames Per Second) or other aspects of the camera system or settings used. The typical PWM frequency is 240 Hz.
When an external power supply is used it must be 12 volts DC. The power connector needs to be compatible with the 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC barrel connector with a positive center connection
The FFC (Flickering Flame Control) in this kit has a yellow color body.
